Our Down Origin:
We don't kill the birds for down. We use only large cluster hand harvested down without any injury (proven by the veterinary and hygiene institute) to our birds.
We do not use poison chemicals for cleaning the down. That is why we can recommend them for people with sensitive skin or allergies.
This Down is not a by-product of the food industry.
Types of Down for Comforters being sold today (in order from worst to best)
Duck feather (Worst)
Feathers have quills. There are mainly used as fillers in large comforters, or pillows. Can poke out of Comforters and be sharp to your skin.
Goose Down (OK)
White Goose Down is a by-product from Geese used for food. Smaller more condensed down 550+ Fill Power Comforters.
Hungarian Down (Better)
Hungarian Down the next step down from the Siberian Goose Down, this is also cold Climate down.
Siberian Down (Best)
Siberian Goose Down considered the finest Goose Down available for comforters. Collected from Geese that live in very cold climates, it is the heaviest of all the downs and will last the longest.
Storage:
Store the product in a cotton bag that will allow the product to breath. Do not store in a box or plastic bag. Never vacuum save.
LAUNDERING INSTRUCTIONS:
Machine wash in warm water separately, gentle cycle with mild detergent
Tumble Dry.
Do not iron.
*Down products are packed tightly during shipping. Upon receipt, remove them from their packaging, fluff gently, and allow several hours to recover their full loft.
