Mr. Fuller gives an antidote to and ways to cope with the victimhood of racism. Because non-whites are victims of white supremacy, he is saying, don't just accept victimhood. He maps out how to counter racism and white supremacy in all areas of activity.
When white people harm non-white people, the wrongdoers -- the white people -- must undo that harm. Justice requires that the wrongdoer make amends. If you haven't read this book, and you think you know African history - you're probably wrong. Chancellor Williams' work is an excellent, disturbing, must-read text for African Americans. It details the glories, and discusses the mistakes in black cultures that led to their present status. If you didn't know that African cultures have always been rather open, if you don't know how cultures that develop technology first end up being technologically backward, if you don't understand the real relationship among African, Arab, Semitic, and European cultures, you need to read this book.
Assata tells stories of her upbringing, narrated her confusion and feelings of being incredibly lost. Sparks of intelligence and pride would fly in her, but she was unsure of where to go with it. This book shows that with action and a hungry motivation for reform to come about either in society or in an individual, something will happen.
People have been reviewing this saying I wish there was more of this or more of that. But what must be understood is that this woman spent more than 10 years in jail, in solitary confinement, after that she fled to cuba for political asylum, it doesn't seem she could just sit down and write what she wanted when she wanted, especially details that could be used against those in the struggle.

In her autobiography A Taste of Power, A Black Woman's Story, Elaine Brown chronicles her life from her childhood through her rise to the head of the Black Panther Party.
